On Friday 19 August, a group of children from the Senior School travelled to Wai ou pa on a planting excursion. Some children planted around seventy trees, altogether we planted 600 trees. The children who went were mostly from the Enviro council, and the trees for survival group also took part. Once the children finished lunch they went and feed the horses, goats and sheep then we went home.
Wow, the TFS students looked like they really had fun! Congratulations for planting over 600 native seedlings on Jenny and Keith’s farm. The Enviro team want to thank you and Mrs Sanileva and Mrs Howie for encouraging BBP to give back to others and make a difference to the waterways of New Zealand. Riparian planting is crucial for our coastline not to be washed out to sea. Well done, everyone!
Who what a amazing day it would have been for you
Thank you children, organisers and Parent helpers for a wonderful day.
The sun was shining – hooray! The behaviour and attitudes of our children was outstanding – what a pleasure you were to spend the day with! Good job guys! From Mrs Sanileva
