Of course you have,
Remember that time,
When I was running,
Through the wind, feeling relaxed?
And I was all cooled down, my hair blowing in the wind,
That was summer

When you were swimming in the cold pool of water by the beach,
Splashing hard on the surface of the sea,
When you came out you were shivering
Jumping up and down wishing to get warmer
Not wishing to get sick by the cold water?
That was summer

When you were eating ice cream,
Licking happily looking at the sunny view,
That sunshine was so bright it was stuck in your head forever
and you can never forget it?
That was summer

When you were watching
The green tree and you were ready to climb,
But afraid it might scratch you painfully through your skin
And mum will be so angry at you for climbing a tree,
You were so worried that you could not speak or move?
That was summer
Remember that time,
When we were watching, butterflies swarming around happily,
Dogs were chasing the monarchs wishing they could catch it but they couldn’t?
That was summer
Remember that time,
When we were playing by the clear and strong flowing stream, splashing carefully,
Feeling scared because you don’t want to be washed away
And never get home?
That was summer.
Remember that time,
When we were smelling the flowers strong sweet scent,
And the flowers were so beautiful
The smell was so strong it was stuck in your head?
That was summer

When you were watching bees collecting nectar
Carrying the nectar so carefully, back to the beehive?
That was summer
Remember that time,
When we were hot and sweaty,
Lying on the ground
And you fell asleep,
Because you were very tired?
That was summer
Remember that time,
When we were biting happily,
On a freezing cold pineapple ice block
The yummy ice block taste was stuck in your mouth,
Even if you brushed your teeth?
That was summer
Remember that time,
When we were standing
On the dock fishing
Splishing and sploshing
And you caught nothing
And you almost fell in the water
After laughing so hard and it was the scariest thing ever happened to you by the sea,
And you remembered all the time how clumsy you were?
