Work is now well underway to find and recruit our new Principal, ready to hit the ground running on the first day of Term 1 2017. The Board have appointed Jan Hill from the Education Group, a specialist provider in the education sector, to oversee the appointment process. The Education Group, and in particular Jan, have significant experience in the Education sector and in recruiting Principals for schools. Jan has been through this process numerous times with a good number of schools, as well as in her many years as a Board of Trustees Chair.

The Board have had several meetings now with Jan, and in conjunction with input from the teaching staff and students have developed a set of criteria that outlines what we are looking for in our prospective new Principal. These criteria will be part of the application pack and form the basis of our selection process.

We will be advertising the role from the start of Term 4 (Oct 10th) through to November 3rd when applications will close. We’ll then shortlist the candidates, undertake reference checking and complete the interview process the weekend of November 19th . We intend to make an announcement about the new Principal by Thursday 24th November.

We’re fortunate to have someone with Jan’s experience guiding the process but I’m also delighted to have such a broad range of experience and skill sitting on the Board of Trustees. I’m confident that through this process we will find an outstanding candidate to help to continue to grow our students and teachers and see our school continue to prosper.
