On the 26th of February, the Year 5 and 6s went to Howick Intermediate for their Swimming Sports. I was really nervous, i jumped in. The race had started! I couldn’t believe it! I was doing it! The water looked like billions of diamonds glittering in the water. The water was so clear that I could see everything through the surface, I could hear people splashing on the surface really hard so they could come first. When I was doing freestyle, I came up and breathed and I accidentally swallowed the water. It tasted like chlorine. When I came up, I smelt chlorine from the swimming pool because there was water all over the ground. Then I was really hot, but after I came out of the swimming pool, I felt cool and a breeze of wind came through me and I felt cooler than before.
