To start our Unit of Inquiry about animals the Junior School had a Pet Day.  Lots of children brought their pets to school for the morning.  We spent time walking around all the classes to see all the different pets that had come to school.  There were dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, birds and even turtles.  As we looked at the pets we thought about what we could observe and went back to class to record our ideas.  Before all the pets went home we had a Pet Parade so that we could show everyone our pets or toys.
