Last term we had a special assembly put together by our Mandarin teacher, Miss Yi Cheng. It included  a movie made by a group of students retelling and acting out the story behind the Moon Festival and the singing of the 

Chinese National Anthem. There was also a fan dance accompanied by a group singing a Chinese song and a movie shot around a variety of classes showing students speaking in Mandarin. The shook assembly audience enjoyed seeing themselves counting to 20, introducing themselves, stating where they are from, what sport they enjoy most and other pieces of information. All students at BBPS take part in weekly Mandarin  language lessons and Year 3 has particularly enjoyed learning a variety of 

Chinese art styles as they rotated each week around different teachers and classes. We watched a PowerPoint showing off all their efforts. To finish off the special Mandarin assembly we enjoyed a group giving us demonstration of Chinese Martial Arts.
