Dear Parents
This term our school’s units of inquiry are focussed on health and well being. As part of our inquiries we will have a visit from Harold and Life Education caravan. Our children have always enjoyed these sessions.
This programme will occur during weeks 4 and 5 (Nov 7th-17th).
The units will be focussing on:
Junior School:
Body requirements to stay happy and healthy
Different kinds of food required to stay healthy and to give us energy
Middle School:
Human body systems and functions
Interconnectedness of body systems
Senior School:
Responsibilities towards maintaining a healthy life (Hauora- mental, emotional, spiritual, physical)
Choices which confront people
Strategies which help maintain a healthy lifestyle
All students will be attending Life Education. The cost to the school is $6.00 per child and we ask for donations to help cover this cost. All donations can be made either through our school website or at the school office.
Parents are welcome to visit the life education caravan and have a look around on Tuesday morning 7th November between 8.15 and 8.45 a.m. You are also welcome to join your child for their visits to the caravan – class teachers have the schedule for these.
