Dear Parents

The BBPS Kapa Haka group will be participating in the 2016 Koanga Festival at Bucklands Beach Intermediate School on Saturday 17th September.

The festival will run throughout the day, with performances from many schools in the local area. BBPS will be performing in the BBI hall at 12.00pm. The students are required to be at the Bucklands Beach Intermediate 35 minutes prior to their performance, which should last about 20 minutes.

The children are to arrive dressed in their costume. Girls can wear their hair out and down or in french plait pigtails. Miss Saul is happy to plait any girl’s hair if they bring a hair-tie. The teachers will draw a moko on the girls and apply black lipstick.

The children are to be dropped at Room 21 and 22 at 11.25am. You will be able to collect your child from these rooms after the performance. We are required to leave these rooms by 12.40pm so the next group can come in.

The children have practised very hard and looking forward to performing and representing our school.  The teachers would like to thank Tracey Te Kare and acknowledge the hard work of the students.

Kind regards

Debbie Rist, Hannah Saul and Lisa Ray
