How Rainbows are Formed

Have you ever looked up in the sky and seen a rainbow? Did you ever consider how it may have got there? Well here is the explanation of how that happens. A rainbow is simply tiny water droplets which appear to have colour because of the sun. It has seven colours, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. When sunlight passes through water in the air it forms a rainbow by reflecting on the back of the droplet and refracting the light when moving away.

An interesting fact about rainbows: since a rainbow is not an object, it is impossible to reach the end.
