Four students entered the arts competition for 2016 at the Eye on Nature Festival at the Botanical Gardens. Ethan Sengers (Room1), Lucy Bramwell (Room 1) and Charlotte Riach (Room 3) each presented successful and attractive artworks based around the theme: Water for Life. Chiara Miller (Room 13) entered the Wearable arts competition and successfully won a Merit award and $50 for BBPS. This is what she has to say about her creation: “We won a merit award for our wearable art and $50 for BBPS.  Becca and I made the outfit by plaiting plastic bags together to wrap around the washing basket. We used an old blind to make the scallop shell and cut up bubble wrap to make the necklace. Our outfit was called “Takutai Moana”.”

BBPS is extremely proud of our artists and hope that more students can enter next year. The Enviro Council team have decided to spend the money on more gloves for our popular Monday and Friday “Hands-On” lunchtime sessions.image
