Today all classes were involved in Matariki Day. The students were in whanau groups that rotated around a number of activities including string games, waitata, making lanterns and origami stars.
Motutapu whanau were the students who worked in Room 2. The sang a total of four waitata before linking into an online presentation that required them to identify the days of the week in Maori. The presentation was a Kahoot.
Room 2 students who visited other teachers enjoyed the string games or the folding of origami stars.
