The next PTA meeting will be held in the staff room at 7.30 pm on April 4th. We aim to keep meetings 30-40 minutes long – and afterwards you’re invited to join us for drinks at Sunset Restaurant. It’s a fun and informal way to get to know other parents at school.
PTA events Term 1:
17 March 5-9pm – Enjoy a relaxed family picnic for the whole family at the school grounds. Susages and drinks will be sold(please bring cash only). You can also bring your own picnic, enjoy music and hang out together on the field. The school pool will be open too, so come by and make new friends this evening together with us. If you are able to please help with this event even for an hour please contact us by e-mail at bbpta@gmail.com.
2 April 3pm – Beauty and the Beast movie at Hoyts Botany. We hope this is a movie that will appeal to both the kids and the parents who have grown up with the early version of it too! Tickets will be $15 for the movie. Snacks and drinks can be bought at Hoyts. We will send out information on how to book those tickets really soon.
Easter time – Hot cross buns will be offered by a flyer to all families in school. We will take orders on the flyer and deliver the hot cross buns from Baker´s delight to school before Easter.
School Uniform shop news!
Thank you Karen O’Loughlin for running the second hand uniform over the past few years. Janet Daubermann has kindly taken over this. The dates for the year are the first Thursday of every month 6-7pm:
March 2, April 6, May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7, October 5, November 2, December 7
Please do not arrive outside the specified time without prior arrangement at the home of the Daubermann family.
The new adress is: 3/12 The Parade, Bucklands Beach
Cash or cheque only – no Eftpos facilities
All uniform items half price of brand new or less if missing buttons etc.

If you donate your uniform we sell for half the price of what you can buy new and then the PTA gets half of the sale price and you receive the other half back.
The PTA have brought blackboard paint to be painted on part of the wall near netball courts on back of room 19. This is so we can write upcoming events and also there will be some space for the kids to practice their writing on it. We have been busy saving up funds for the new board. Stay tuned for what your money has contributed to.
PTA events term 2:
In term 2 we will be giving out flyers with an offer to buy the Entertainment book. That is either a book or an app with a lot of coupons for restaurants and entertainment all around Auckland.
We are also repeating last years success, to sell chocolates, in term 2. Each student will be given out a box of chocolates to sell either at home, at work or on the beach/by the ferry at commuter hours. The family who sells the most boxes will win a price!
25 May 8pm – Ladies night movie coming up in term 2 as well! The movie will be Snatched.
