School Cross Country

Last Friday the Senior and Middle School had their school cross country. First up were the Year 3 girls. They had to run around the block once and so did the Year 3 boys. Next it was the Year 4 girls and Year 4 boys’ turn. They also had to run around the block once. Then it was the Year 5 girls’ turn. I started strong but by the last lap I wanted to fall to the ground. Here we go, it was the home stretch. Every parent was cheering us on. The finish was just there. Done. We had finished. I wanted to collapse on the astroturf. My friend Sophia and I tied as we came in together. I stumbled to the ground and I drank all of my water. It was a race to remember. I was so happy, sweaty and tired when I had finished.
