Today we went to the Howick Historical Village. As always, we had fabulous parent helpers and a wonderful time.

The unit we are studying is technology/social science based – It fits into the NZ curriculum under the section entitled:
Generations share similar experiences (we are all members of a community that interconnect)
- basic requirements people need in a community (education, food, shelter, recreation, clothing, occupations)
- how different generations have meet these needs and interconnect
- how the needs of the past impact on the present and the future
We are learning to: investigate and describe differences in games/education/food/clothing/housing/transport and pastimes between “Then and Now.”
