Our Board

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the school, made up of parents, the Principal and a staff representative. The Board are responsible for overseeing the school’s operations and ensuring that it provides a high-quality education for all students in the Bucklands Beach context.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strategic Direction: All board members have input into the school’s strategic direction and long-term goals.
• Financial Management & Property: Oversees the school’s finances, including budgeting, property management, and fundraising.
• Staff Management: Appoints and supports the principal and oversees the employment of some key staff members.
• Student Achievement: Monitors student achievement and progress and ensures that the school provides high-quality teaching and learning.  Checks what resources are needed and whether they are within budget.
• Community Engagement: Builds strong relationships with the school community, including parents, caregivers, and the wider community, through consultation and attending key events.
• Compliance: Ensures that the school complies with all relevant legislation and regulations.

How to Get Involved:

• Become a Trustee: Run for election to the Board of Trustees.
• Attend Board Meetings: Attend Board meetings to stay informed about the school’s operations.
• Volunteer: Volunteer your time and skills to support the school’s activities.
• Provide Feedback: Share your feedback and ideas with the Principal, who is a board member.
