On Wednesday 24 August six students represented Bucklands Beach Primary School at the Interschool Technology Challenge which was held at Point View School.  The students faced an unseen challenge of building a car from card, wire bubble wrap, skewers and dowelling.  A NXT Lego brick was used for data logging the speed at which these cars moved down a ramp.  Our teams were unplaced but all enjoyed the experience and learnt how to construct circles from string, the use of axles and the principle of friction from tyres that grip the road.
