Room 9 went to the Auckland Museum in term 2. The children got to explore the different exhibitions and had a lesson on Matariki.  

  Today we made kites for Matariki. Kites were seen as connectors between heaven and earth, and were often flown at this event, especially on the first day of the New Year.

Room 9 enjoyed going into all the junior classes for a science activity! 

In room 9 we did some fantastic artwork! We used corrugated cardboard and cut out the different layers we needed. Using paint and tissue paper we made the animals stand out. Come and check them out!
