Beginning in France WW2 was happening. Soldiers marched to the battlefield. War was getting really bad. Soldiers marched through the town. The war was getting closer and closer. The people from the town, moved away – far away! A farm full of bantams and other animals lived there.The farmer took his animals away except the bantams. The war became worse and only one bantam lived in some bush.
One day a giant explosion hit the farm and all the bantams died except the one in the bush, which had become really stuck. More and more soldiers came to fight in the war. They had some rest before war .A soldier named Arthur helped the bantam out of that bush and she was free at last. That night everyone kept on teasing the bantam and Arthur.
The next day there was a war happening. For the people who got injured,the bantam laid an egg for them. When the war was over everyone started to be nice to the bantam and Arthur.
It was time to leave and Arthur had to take the bantam back to its home and get onto the ship and go back home.
