SENIOR SCHOOL SWIMMING SPORTS

Dear Parents / Caregivers

On Friday 16th February we are holding our senior school swimming sports at the Howick Intermediate School pool starting at 9.00am and finishing at approximately 2.00pm. (Saving Day Monday 19th February).

We will be boarding the buses at 8.40 am so we ask that all children are at school by 8.30 am on this day.

We will begin the programme of events with the Curry Cup final followed by championship race heats, championship finals, participation races and finishing with the Whanau team relay. The children will know prior which events they are in.

Those students competing in the participation races will be at school until 11.30 am o’clock and then travel by bus to the pool to join the rest of the senior school.

Students are to wear their sports uniform to school with their togs underneath. We ask that your child be at school by 8.30 am as we have buses booked to transport to the pool.

Students will require:

  • Togs (speedos, not board shorts if possible)
  • Goggles
  • Towels (2)
  • Sports tee shirt and shorts
  • Sunhat
  • Sunblock
  • Polar fleece/or sweatshirt
  • Morning tea/lunch/ large water bottle

If we have to postpone due to bad weather we will inform everyone by 8.30am on the morning of the sports. The saving day is Monday 19 February.

Parents and Caregivers are most welcome to come along and support us during the day.

Please complete the permission slip below and return it with $5.00 to cover the cost of transport and pool hire.
