19 budding athletes from BBPS recently took part in the Howick Rotary Fun Run and Walk.
This wasn’t a gentle jog for the faint hearted! Our juniors had to complete a 6.9 kilometre course up and down the undulating Howick terrain. The format was simple; it is a fun run, but for schools there is the Crawford Medical Cup up for grabs and the fun is taken over by the competitive nature of all involved.
For a school to win, they must have four members of the same team across the line before any other school. Despite a rival school having 3 runners finished, we then had 5 BBPS runners over the finish line to win the cup for the second year consecutively. Impressively, our winning team consisted of a year 3, year 4 and two year 5 students running against teams of year 6’s. Well done to everyone who partook and helped us retain the cup!
