Howick Rotary winners19 budding athletes from BBPS recently took part in the Howick Rotary Fun Run and Walk.

This wasn’t a gentle jog for the faint hearted! Our juniors had to complete a 6.9 kilometre course up and down the undulating Howick terrain. The format was simple; it is a fun run, but for schools there is the Crawford Medical Cup up for grabs and the fun is taken over by the competitive nature of all involved.

Rotary fun run cupFor a school to win, they must have four members of the same team across the line before any other school. Despite a rival school having 3 runners finished, we then had 5 BBPS runners over the finish line to win the cup for the second year consecutively. Impressively, our winning team consisted of a year 3, year 4 and two year 5 students running against teams of year 6’s. Well done to everyone who partook and helped us retain the cup!
