Students are taught how to learn and think critically and creatively. B.B.P.S. provides students with opportunities to learn values, essential knowledge and key competencies for life long learning, within a nurturing environment. Students will practice self-management and relationship competencies and participate actively in their school community. Students are motivated through the provision of high, achievable challenges and through the experience of success and achievement. They are encouraged to reflect on their learning and further goals, and to self monitor their thoughts and actions with increasing independence. Multiple opportunities are provided for students to be actively involved in learning, make links to other learning, and see the relevance of what they are learning. Students learn in social contexts, supported by peers, family, and the wider community. Assessment supports further learning by providing information for students, parents and teachers. |
