Kia Ora, Nǐ hǎo, Greetings,

Welcome to our new students and their families that have recently started with us: Matthew Hiley, Raam Mohandas, Ayva Norris, Chloe Mackay and Katelin Mackay.

Linc Ed

We are very excited to launch Linc Ed, our new online reporting system, on the 3rd of December.  Instead of twice yearly reports, you will be able to log on anytime, and see how your child/children are doing.  There will also be examples of work shared with you.

You will receive an email on the 3rd of December, along with an electronic presentation of how to log on and use the system.  In addition to the online instructions, we will be holding parent sessions to launch Linc Ed if you prefer.  These sessions will run on the 3rd of December from 2.00 pm – 3.00 pm, and on the 5th of December from 9.00 am – 10.00 am and again from 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm (venue to be confirmed when we know numbers).  If you would like to attend one of these sessions, please email Julie – office@bbps.school.nz with the subject Linc Ed, and let us know which day and time you would like to attend.

Staffing for 2019

Mr Alan McInally will be joining the middle team for 2019.  He brings a range of experience to the job, and is particularly passionate about maths and sport.  We were lucky to attract another high calibre teacher to our staff.

Mrs Murray-Brown has decided to take a year out to spend with her children, so won’t be taking a full time class next year.

Travelwise

Our Travelwise team have done a fantastic job this year of encouraging us to get to school in a sustainable and safe way.  Last Friday they received a gold Travelwise award, after completing a number of Travel Wise initiatives.  Congratulations to the team, and thank you to Mrs Fowler for running Travelwise for BBPS.  Great team work!

Art Exhibition

The school was a riot of colour last week as every class displayed the most beautiful art work. Admire the colour, detail and originality of the pieces in the 2018 art exhibition.  Thank you to all of the parents and family who came along.  The feedback has been very positive, and the students really enjoyed sharing their work with you, as well as seeing what other classes had worked on.  We have so much talent at BBPS!  Room 18 and 19’s mural has been the talk of the school, and coupled with the new green sunshade, has really brightened the school up.  We look forward to adding more art next year.

Sports News

Here are the results of the Middle/Senior School Athletics Day held recently. Congratulations to everyone! A fantastic event!  A special thank you to all the parents that came along and assisted for the day.
