Maori Education

At B.B.P.S. the staff and BOT are committed to Maori Education. The staff aim to integrate Maori language and customs into the curriculum.

Every year we celebrate Maori Language Week and Matariki. We visit marae and museums, we make Maori books and kites, we love singing waiata and are becoming more confident with saying our mihi.

We have Koro Percy, our Maori teacher, who comes in and takes special lessons for each class during Term 3.
