On Saturday I woke up at five o’clock in the morning to leave to Tairua. In the car I just slept the whole way but when we got there the fun began. After breakfast with my family, nana, poppa and cousins we all went to a market with stands. Mum and dad gave both of us twenty dollars each to spend, so I spent my money on a little plush toy rocket raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy, a Star Wars wrist band and I gave the rest of my money to the Tairua fire department. But Sam got a Captain America cap with all his money. After the market my dad and I had a game of pool. Of course he won but I still had fun. The next day we went to the beach. The waves were massive!!! I only swam for a little bit but then something terrible happened. My brother was swimming with my cousins and the a giant wave came then swept Sam way out off shore. So my dad had to try and save him, but he couldn’t touch the ground so two young lifeguards saved them. I was so scared they were going to drown but after they were ok.
