About Us

Bucklands Beach Primary School is in a lovely location in the eastern suburbs of Auckland, close to Musick Point and approximately 15km from the Auckland CBD.

The school is surrounded by spectacular views of the Tamaki River and Hauraki Gulf, and within walking distance of several beaches.

In 1955 the school opened as a full primary school with a first day roll of 169. There were few roads at Bucklands Beach, a lot of baches, and housing subdivisions as we know them had only just begun. A short drive around Bucklands Beach reveals that much has changed over the years. Today, adjacent housing is highly desirable, and a prestigious yachting club and golf club are nearby. Buses provide transport to large shopping and entertainment centres such as Botany, Sylvia Park, Howick, Highland Park and Pakuranga.

B.B.P.S. is a state, decile 10 contributing primary catering to 5 to 11 year old children.

The roll in October 2019 was 468 students and it reflects diversity in ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The school attracts high calibre staff. The school received an outstanding Education Review Office Report. We have an extremely well resourced school in terms of facilities and equipment.

As a school we are committed to our School Charter. We look to our parents and the school community to support us in achieving our goals for your children and our students.
