Tip Top Sports Day

On Sunday the 21st of March, 103 students from Bucklands Beach Primary School participated in the Tip Top Schools Event. It is run by The Rotary Club and the activities were SpongeBob Wet Pants, The Stretcher Run, Skiing, Bucket Stops, Sled Run, Newspaper Run, The Mine Field and Wobbly Wheels.
The Mine Field is where you have a partner who guides you through a maze full of ice cream containers. You have a blind fold on and get lead all around the mine field.
The Sled Race is when your team-mates pull you on a sled. Once you collect a bag at the final you turn around and head back the way you came. The team with the most bags wins.
The Newspaper Run was where you walked on stilts and then ran back and gave the stilts to the next person. You had to then run and get a newspaper and dribble a ball through some sticks. Next you had to run under a sheet and put the newspaper in a bucket. You had to put the buckets into steps and stand on them and have two people in your team put more buckets in front of you! It was great a to do as a team.
It was a fabulous fun day with lots of other schools all competing too.
We all highly recommend it to all students every year and we all got medals too.
